Luxury Rigid Packaging Boxes
Premium Finishes That Defines Elegance

There’s a certain weight to a rigid box. You pick it up and you already know the product inside costs something. That’s not an accident. It’s the whole point.

There’s a certain weight to a rigid box. You pick it up and you already know the product inside costs something. That’s not an accident. That’s the whole point. At The Luxury Packaging, we’re a luxury rigid boxes manufacturer working with brands across beauty, fashion, electronics, spirits, and food. We’ve been doing this long enough to know that the box is rarely just the box — it’s part of the product, part of the brand, and very much part of the sale.

This page covers our Luxury Rigid Packaging Boxes, how we build them, and what the process looks like when you work with us.

Styles and Formats We Produce

Our capable organization manufactures customized rigid boxes across a wide range of formats. The most common styles are:

Two-piece set-up box — a base and a lid, no frills, very clean. Works for almost anything. Easy to brand on the top and sides.

Drawer box — the inner tray slides out. They have immense popularity in cosmetics, skincare, and candles. Looks and feels way more premium than it costs.

Hinged lid box — the lid is attached, opens like a clamshell or book. Good for products people keep coming back to, or ones you want to display open.

Magnetic closure box — the lid closes with embedded magnets. Smooth to open, satisfying to close. One of the most frequently requested styles we get.

The shoulder box — has a visible inner shoulder where the lid rests. Adds a layer of structure and looks clean even before the lid comes off.

Book-style box — opens like a hardback book. Usually used for gift sets or branded merchandise where the presentation itself matters.

Each of these can be sized to your spec and finished in whatever way fits your brand.

Finishes, Materials, and Print Options

A lot of decision making happens at this stage of the order process.

If the need is for paper wraps, we work with art paper, textured paper, kraft, linen, silk, velvet, and other specialty options. The wrap choice affects both the look and how print sits on the surface.

For laminates, you've got matte, gloss, and soft-touch. Soft-touch is a favourite for luxury brands — it has a slightly rubbery, smooth feel that's hard to describe but very easy to notice.

Printed luxury rigid boxes use either offset lithography or digital printing depending on quantity and complexity. Offset gives you the most accurate color reproduction. Digital is better for short runs or variable data.

On top of print, we offer:

  • Foil stamping — gold, silver, rose gold, holographic, and more
  • Embossing and debossing — raises or presses the design into the material
  • Spot UV — high-gloss coating applied to specific areas, creates contrast against matte backgrounds
  • Edge painting — color applied to the raw board edges, visible when the box is open
  • Hot stamping — similar to foil but applied under heat and pressure

Printed luxury rigid boxes with foil stamping and soft-touch laminate are one of the most common combinations we produce. It's a clean, high-end result and it photographs well too, which matters for brands selling online.

Luxury Rigid Packaging — What Goes Inside Matters Too

The outside gets the most attention, but the inside of the box does a lot of work. Luxury rigid packaging that's built properly has an insert that holds the product in place, protects it in transit, and adds to the unboxing experience.

Inside each package, cushioning comes from materials like EVA foam, EPE foam, or soft foam wrapped in velvet. It can be a thermoformed, molded paper pulp doing the job, or firm cardboard holding things tight. The weight of your item plays a role here. So does how delicate it is.

Inside the box, we can add tissue paper fitted neatly. Printed inner bases appear next, quietly doing their part. Ribbon pulls show up when needed, smooth to use. Satin lines certain versions, soft against touch. Tiny things, these elements - yet they collect into something felt.

Wholesale Orders — Pricing That Makes Sense at Volume

If you're ordering in quantity, the per-unit cost drops considerably. Our luxury rigid boxes wholesale pricing is structured for brands running regular production cycles, not one-off orders.

Minimum order quantities depend on the spec. Heavily customized boxes with specialty materials and multiple print processes typically have higher MOQs. Simpler builds can run at lower minimums.

Our luxury rigid boxes wholesale program works well for:

  • Beauty and cosmetic brands running seasonal collections
  • Spirits and food brands ordering for gifting season
  • E-commerce brands that ship year-round and need consistent stock
  • Retailers buying for multiple SKUs

We can hold stock in some cases and release on a schedule. If you've got specific logistics requirements, talk to us and we'll see what we can work out.

We're a Manufacturer — Not a Middleman

Worth saying clearly: we're a luxury rigid boxes manufacturer, not a resourcing agent placing your order with a factory you'll never deal with directly.

We run our own production. Unusual dimensions, multi-component sets, embossed patterns on textured paper, foil on dark backgrounds — these require hands-on expertise. We have it.

Working directly with a manufacturer also tends to mean better lead times and fewer miscommunications. You're talking to the people making your box, which is usually the faster and cleaner way to get things done.

The Custom Order Process

Here's how it goes when you work with us:

Step 1 — Tell us what you need. Product dimensions, quantity, finish preferences, any brand guidelines you have. A rough idea is enough to start. We ask questions if we need more.

Step 2 — Structural design. We produce a dieline and, if needed, a 3D mockup. This is where we figure out the exact structure before anything goes to print.

Step 3 — Quote. We price based on your spec, quantity, and any tooling required. No hidden charges.

Step 4 — Sample. We produce a digitall sample before full production. You check the structure, finish, print, and insert. If anything's off, we revise before the full run.

Step 5 — Production and delivery. Full run produced, QC checked, and shipped. We work to deadlines — if you've got a product launch or retail deadline, tell us upfront and we'll build the schedule around it.

Industries We Work With

Our clients span a wide range of industries. Here's where most of our work goes:

Cosmetics and skincare — probably the most common category we work in. Serums, moisturisers, perfumes, lip products, eye creams, gift sets. Rigid boxes are the default for anything positioned as premium.

Jewellery and watches — small products that need protection and a presentation that matches the price point.

Spirits and beverages — whisky, gin, wine, and specialty drinks. Gift packaging is huge in this space, especially in Q4.

Electronics and tech accessories — headphones, earbuds, chargers, and peripherals. Brands in this space are increasingly investing in packaging as part of the product experience.

Fashion and accessories — scarves, belts, small leather goods. The box is often kept by the customer long after the product's been used.

Food and confectionery — chocolates, specialty teas, gourmet sets. The presentation is as important as the taste of the food in hand.

If you do not see your industry mentioned in this list it does not mean we will not be able to help you with your product packaging. Our solutions are completely customizable as per any product requirements.

Sustainability Options

More brands are asking about this, and it's a reasonable ask. Luxury rigid packaging and sustainability aren't mutually exclusive.

We offer FSC-certified board as standard on request. Recycled content wrapping papers are available. Water-based adhesives instead of solvent-based are an option for brands with specific environmental requirements. We can also help you think through packaging reduction — sometimes a lighter board weight or a simpler insert design gets you to the same place structurally with less material.

We won't oversell this. Rigid boxes use more material than folding cartons by nature. But there are real choices within that, and we'll help you make them honestly.

Common Questions We Get

What's the minimum order quantity? It depends on the spec. However the standard MOQ is 100 pieces per order.

How long does production take? For custom work, allow 12 to 13 business days after sample approval for a full production run. Samples take about 7–10 working days. We also do emergency deliveries when meeting deadlines.

Can I order samples? Yes. We produce pre-production samples before any full run goes ahead. We won't go to full production without your sign-off on a digital sample.
